“Local Exposure”

“Local Exposure” is a photographic contest open to any amateur or professional photographer in the North East Florida Region hosted by Gallery725, Atlantic Beach, Fl. Students are welcome, and will be judged in the group competition, there will not be a separate category for students.

“Local” refers to local photographers, artists are not restricted to local subject matter.

Judging Round 1:
Round one will be based on quality of print and presentation. This is the most important part of the submission. Entries must be presentation ready, meaning ready to hang on the wall with the appropriate framing (if necessary) and hanging hardware. Quality of print and attention to detail are of utmost importance.

Judging Round 2:
Composition
Originality and Creativity in both the image as well as the presentation of work.
Overall Gestalt

Bring your best images forward! Each entrant is allowed to submit 3 photographs for the competition.
There are not any restrictions on size or subject matter.*

There is a $10 submission fee for each piece entered, each entrant is welcome to submit up to three pieces.

Submissions will be accepted between the hours of 12pm and 6pm on the following dates: Saturday January 17th, Tuesday January 20th, and Wednesday January 21st, 2015.

All entrants accepted into the competition are required to be at the opening reception.
Reception will be held Friday January 23rd 2015; 6pm.

Each entrant shall retain ownership of all intellectual property rights in the entry (including moral rights). By entering the Competition, and to the extent allowed by law, entrant grants, but solely in relation to the promotion and/or advertising of “Local Exposure”, a non-exclusive license to publish and use the Photographs themselves and the content of and elements embodied in the Photographs, including any names, locations and likenesses for promotions of the show. Gallery725 will not commercially exploit the Photographs and all such rights of commercial exploitation remain with entrants.

Submissions will be for sale in Gallery725 for the duration of the exhibit (approximately 60 days). In the event of a sale the gallery will retain a 50% commission, please keep this in mind when pricing your work.

Peoples Choice

The Peoples Choice award will be held at the show opening, voting between 6pm and 8pm, winners for all prizes will be announced at 8:30pm.
